Frozen Showcase is on it's feet!
Directors are thrilled with the progress of our campers and showcase! Game times and rehearsal times are a BLAST and we are loving our camp days together. We want to make sure that campers with lines are double and triple checking their memories so they know their own line, AND the line that comes before it!
Here's a recap of our day
As campers entered this morning, they joined their small groups and made up group cheers! We hopped up on stage and each small group presented their group pride cheer. Small groups rock! Our morning game, called Indy 500, was a very fun game full of driving cars around inside a circle, and navigating through oil spills, flat tires, and even toe trucks! Then we warmed up our muscles in a dance party! We learned a bunch of classic dance moves. In our morning rehearsals, we reviewed all of what we know so far, which is almost the entire show! After a short break, we ran the showcase! It was a choppy first run through, and we know it could only get better from there! We enjoyed lunch and meditation time, and then went into our Skillz time where counselors led us in teamwork activities. The human knot taught us about working together, communicating and listening! The afternoon game was an Ashland favorite, Night Guard! Campers acted like sneaky moving statues while the museum night guard walked around the museum. If the night guard caught a statue moving, they were out until the next round! Our afternoon rehearsals were awesomely fun and productive. We continued reviewing our dances, we learned Let it Go, and then we ran the show again! We did a wonderful job putting everything together. At the end of the day we had an awesome award ceremony hosted by two sailor from Anything Goes! Then, our counselors performed in the showcase. It featured a beautiful duet, and a silly silly dancer! We were lucky and had a little extra time to play Boss before heading out. We can't wait for our showcase tomorrow!
